The Writing Center is now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45. We will be there to help you at any stage of your writing process. This applies to any writing assignments in any class.

Hey, Readers! The Captain Shreve Teen Readers' Choice Book Club is hosting the 2020 Voting Party this Friday, Jan 24, during each lunch shift. ​If you haven't yet tested for this month's meeting and the vote party, today is your last chance! ​Remember that if you've tested on any of the 2020 books, you'll receive an invitation to the meeting on your lunch shift. Invitations will be delivered through your English class, but you may also stop by the library to check the invitation list. You don't want to miss this great event! We will have great refreshments, generous book giveaways, and awards. We will also kickoff our 2021 list! Let's celebrate and vote for our Shreve Teen Readers' Choice this Friday, Jan 24!

Are you good at art? Do you like to draw or paint or sculpt? Are other people always telling you how talented you are? Come by room A306 Wednesday, January 22, during lunch to find out more about the Talented Visual Arts class and how to qualify.

Yearbook group photos will be taken on Tuesday, January 28. A schedule will be sent to teachers and posted on the website. Pictures will be taken on schedule. Don’t miss your group picture!​

Hey Seniors, it's that time of year where you can send in your photos for the senior slideshow. Send a baby photo and a current photo to shrevekgtr@gmail.com before January 31 with your first and last name in the subject line of the email.

Attention all students: Yearbook ads are now available for students in any grade level. If you or your group of friends would like to commemorate the 2019-20 school year with a personalized ad, follow the link on captainshreve.com to design and purchase the ad or see Mr. Long in A212 for more details.

Anyone interested in trying out for JV or Varsity cheer can​ pick up a packet from Ms. Gentry in MH10 between classes. Packets and fees are due by Thursday, February 13. Students planning on trying out for JV and Varsity cheer, danceline, flagline, or majorettes should have their parent(s) attend the mandatory parent only meeting Thursday, February 20, from 6:00-6:30 in the cafeteria.

Students in the 9t​h​, 10t​h​, and 11t​h​ grades who are interested in a career in the health field may sign up for the AHEC of a Summer program focused on careers in medicine. You may sign up in the front office if interested in applying or learning more about this hands-on opportunity.

Jenifer Fowler from the University of Arkansas will be here to visit with interested juniors and seniors Wednesday, March 18, at 1:15 pm in the conference room. Sign up in the book at the front desk if you'd like to attend!​

If you need help with math, come to room A112 on Tuesday mornings from 7:45-8:15 for Math Club peer tutoring. Bring your math work with you.
