FREE PreACT for Sophomores (10th Graders) will be administered on Friday, April 9, at 8:30 am at Captain Shreve High School. If you would like to sign up for the FREE PreACT to be given to Captain Shreve Sophomores (10th graders), complete the form in the announcements section of Canvas or see your English teacher. You must complete the form by Friday, February 26, to take the test. No transportation will be provided.

UPDATED HIGHLINE INFORMATION: Interested in joining the Captain Shreve Highline? All Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors interested will try out March 2-5. If you are interested, go to LocalLevelEvents.com. Pay the registration fee online. Download an application and follow the instructions for "Future and Virtual Gators" that are detailed on Local Level. All packets and payments must be returned by February 26.

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: The selection process for new members of the National Honor Society has begun. Students who have met the 3.90 cumulative GPA & credit requirements (*see lists posted in classrooms*) must attend a MANDATORY meeting on Thursday, March 4, at 8:15 am in the auditorium to complete the application for membership. The meeting on Thursday, March 4, is for students who are TRADITIONAL/IN PERSON LEARNING ONLY. This will take 20-25 minutes. Current members DO NOT ATTEND!! There will be a MANDATORY meeting on Friday, March 5, at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium is for all VIRTUAL students and any traditional students who could not attend the meeting on Thursday. Students must enter through the front door of the auditorium foyer for their temperature check. See Mrs. Langdon or Mr. Long if you have any questions.​

Students in the 9th​, 10th, and 11th grades who are interested in a career in the health field may sign up for the AHEC of a Summer program focused on careers in medicine held for 15 days in June 2021. You may sign up in the front office if interested in applying or learning more about this hands-on opportunity. Deadline is March 5, 2021.

Captain Shreve’s Blood Drive will be Thursday, March 11, in the auditorium. If you would like to participate in the blood drive, be sure to sign up during your lunch shift on Tuesday or Wednesday, March 2 - 3 in the cafeteria foyer. Don’t miss an opportunity to help replenish Northwest Louisiana’s blood supply which is critically low after the winter storm!

Are you struggling with your Math class? Need a little help with your math homework? The math club is offering free peer tutoring every Tuesday in room A112 from 7:45 to 8:20. Come get help from Captain Shreve's best math students. Bring your math work with you. Ask your math teacher for more details.

Attention Gators interested in a military career: There will be an informational Q&A Zoom about the opportunities and benefits of joining the Air Force Reserves March 9, 3-4pm. The Zoom information can be found in the Senior News Canvas course or you can email Ms. Mills at mamills@caddoschools.org for the link.
