The Writing Center is now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45. We will be there to help you at any stage of your writing process. This applies to any writing assignments in any class.

Attention 9t​ h​, 10t​ h​ & 11t​ h​ graders: Do you serve your community and plan to attend a 4 year college? If so, you could be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be held in trust until you attend college! Applicants must have a 3.75 GPA and will be required to write an essay. Interested in becoming one of the newest members of the Gator Highline? A dance clinic will be held November 18-21 for young ladies interested in learning dance techniques and skills. The cost is $25 per person and should be paid on Local Level Events. See Mrs. Wilson in room A102 before or after school for details.

You should have received your picture proofs from Lifetouch from your English teacher. Picture retake day is Tuesday, November 19. If you were absent you will automatically be added to the retake roster. If you are unhappy with your picture and would like to sign up for a retake, you must return your original proofs to Mr. Long in A212 and sign the request form. If you don’t return your proof, you will be removed from the list. The deadline to request retakes is Friday, November 15.

Students in the 9t​h​, 10t​h​, and 11​th​ grades who are interested in a career in the health field may sign up for the AHEC of a Summer program focused on careers in medicine. You may sign up in the front office if interested in applying or learning more about this hands-on opportunity.

Sophomores: We are looking for outstanding leaders of the Sophomore Class. The 2020 Hugh O’Brian Leadership Award will be presented to selected tenth grade students who have already shown strong leadership potential. Please sign the clipboard in the front office if you would like to be considered for this prestigious award! The deadline to sign up for HOBY is Friday, November 15.

Underclassmen! Are you interested in becoming an international traveler? Mrs. Garcia will be holding an informational meeting for the Italy 2021 tour in Room D-101 on Thursday, November 21, at 􏰕pm.
