Theatre Performance Team presents C. S. Lewis’ classic ​The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe​ for two performances on Thursday, October 17, and Friday, October 18, at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.

All girls interested in playing soccer this year need to see Coach Lane in MH02, either Thursday or Friday, October 17 & 18 to pickup a try-out packet. Any player not having their necessary paperwork to Coach Lane by October 24, will NOT be allowed to try-out for a team on October 28 and will miss out on this season.

A representative from SUSLA (Southern University in Shreveport) will be at Captain Shreve during both lunch shifts October 18th to visit with interested students. Stop by the cafeteria foyer if interested!

The Fall Blood Drive is Tuesday, October 22, in B103. Representatives from LifeShare Blood Center will be in the cafeteria foyer during lunch shifts on Thursday, October 17, through Monday, October 21, to sign up donors.  Students may sign up to donate during an elective period only. There will be no donations made during a core class. If you are 16 years of age, be sure that you get a parent permission slip from the representatives in order to donate blood. You will need to present the permission slip on October 22 before you donate.

Let’s pack the Northwest Food Bank for our school and for the people who need the food to have a Happy Thanksgiving. Collect in your homeroom to win a donut party. The food items that are suggested are: canned tuna, salmon and chicken, peanut butter, 1 or 2 pound bag of dried beans, pasta, mac and cheese, canned vegetables and fruit, boxed cereal, oatmeal, and grits, and 5-pound or less flour and sugar.

The Writing Center is now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45. We will be there to help you at any stage of your writing process. This applies to any writing assignments in any class.
