Are you struggling with your Math class? Need a little help with your math homework? The math club is offering free peer tutoring every Tuesday in room A112 from 7:45 to 8:20. Come get help from Captain Shreve's best math students. Bring your math work with you. Ask your math teacher for more details.

If you are a freshman interested in taking the PSAT9, now is the time to sign up! Your test results will set a baseline measurement of your college and career readiness as you enter high school. The cost is $13 and can be paid on Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, December 16.

Hey Gators! The annual 'Pack the Pantry' food drive ends this Thursday! Bring your cans and items to the front foyer and place them in the food drive bins. Our school goal is 1000 cans! Let's keep pushing to reach our goal and support the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana!

Tickets for the Shreve vs. Airline football game will be sold during both lunch shifts this Thursday in the cafeteria foyer. Tickets are $8. Tickets will not be sold at the gate, so make sure you buy your tickets here. Game is at Airline Friday night starting at 7:00. Go Gators!!

Mu Alpha Theta, Captain Shreve's mathematics honor society, is accepting new members. Any student is eligible who has completed Algebra 1 and Geometry at the enriched level or higher, has a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and has not made a semester grade below B in the last 4 semesters of math courses. See Mrs. Simon in Room A112 for an application or for more information.

If you are interested in becoming stronger and healthier, then come check out powerlifting. We are a fun and competitive team looking for more students to join. You don’t have to be strong to start. Stop by A206 and see Mr. McInnis for information and the registration packet. Be sure to get the Remind code off his door.

The 4-H club will be meeting Thursday, November 19, at 4:00. Location of the meeting will be announced on our Canvas Announcements. Please don't forget the items you volunteered to bring for our service project. Rides need to be here by no later than 5:00 pm.

Students who are interested in becoming a member of National Honor Society must meet the following criteria to be considered for membership:
○ must have at least 10 high school credits
○ must have at least a 3.90 cumulative GPA on a weighted scale
○ must be a member of at least 2 approved clubs/organizations or one club/organization with an elected leadership position
○ must have at least a 2.80 average character rating by current teachers
Students who have met the first two criteria of the selection process (verified after the second report card of the first semester at the end of January/early February) are required to attend a meeting where the application for membership is completed. Applications will be reviewed and those students who meet the remaining criteria will be invited to join in March. Please see Mrs. Langdon in A107 if you have any questions.

Attention 10th grade students who would like to take the PSAT 10. The deadline for signing up is December 9, 2020. The cost is $17 and the test will be March 9, 2021. Important notice: If you signed up for the PSAT 9 last year your payment for the PSAT 10 will be adjusted. Most of you would owe $5.00. Please check with the bookkeeper to check the status of your account.

Students in the 9​, 10, and 11 grades who are interested in a career in the health field may sign up for the AHEC of a Summer program focused on careers in medicine held for 15 days in June 2021. You may sign up in the front office if interested in applying or learning more about this hands-on opportunity. Deadline is March 5, 2021.

Attention 9th, 10th & 11th graders: Do you serve your community and plan to attend a 4 year college? If so, you could be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be held in trust until you attend college! Applicants must have a 3.75 GPA and will be required to write an essay. Please see Mrs. Sella for more details.

Gators, ACT On Track Prep boot camp will be December 5 from 9:00-12:00. If you are registered for the December 12 administration of the ACT, this is an opportunity for students to get help from certified instructors to boost your ACT scores at a reduced rate of $80.
