Attention all Gators:  Captain Shreve is proud to announce its 5th annual offering of the ACT On Track Prep boot camp December 1st from 9-12pm in the Magnet Hall.  If you are registered for the December 8 administration of the ACT, this is an amazing opportunity for students to get help from certified instructors to boost those ACT scores at a reduced rate of $80.  For more information, registration and payment, contact junior counselor, Ms. Allen or senior counselor, Mrs. Mills.

An ETBU representative will visit with Captain Shreve students on November 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the conference room.  Sign up in the book at the front desk if you would like to attend.

Attention 9th, 10th & 11th graders: Do you serve your community and plan to attend a 4 year college? If so, you could be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be held in trust until you attend college! Applicants must have a 3.75 GPA and will be required to write an essay. Please see Ms. Allen for more details.

Everyone interested in purchasing an FCA club T-shirt needs to get their $20 payment to Coach Hooper by Friday, November 16.

Friday is the deadline to register for Shreve's Poetry Out Loud competition to be held on Tuesday, November 27.  See Mrs. Mangham in room A210 to register!

Have you taken some great pics that you would like to have used in the yearbook?  Submit them today by downloading the Replay It app or visiting replayit.com and connecting to Captain Shreve.  The pictures you submit will be delivered directly to the staff for their consideration in this year’s book. Also if you would like to suggest someone with a special story to be featured in the yearbook, email Mr. Long or see him in room A212.

If you need a little help with your math class, the Math Club is here for you.  Come to room A112 on Tuesday mornings from 7:45-8:15. Bring your math work with you and get help from some of Captain Shreve's best math students.

Are you planning or already working on a research or writing assignment? Would you like a little extra time to work on it at school or someone to help you get over the rough spots? Starting this week, October 1, we will have a Writing Center/Workshop after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-4:45 in room A214. We will be there to answer questions and help you with problems. This applies to any research or writing assignment in any class. Contact Ms. Reeser with questions.
