Gators, Friday night is our varsity football game against Benton at Benton High School at 7PM. The theme for the game is “Black Out Benton.” Make sure to dress in all black and come support our Gator football team. Bring your hype energy and make sure to be loud!

Football tickets for the Shreve vs. Benton AWAY game will be sold Thursday, October 22, during both lunch shifts in the cafeteria foyer. Tickets will be sold only to our students at this time, but students can buy multiple tickets for family and friends. No outside visitors will be allowed on campus. The game will be on Friday, October 23, at 7:00 at Benton.

Yearbook picture days will be Monday, October 26, for underclassmen; Tuesday, October 27, for seniors; and Friday, October 30, between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for all virtual students. You will be able to preview your pictures, personalize them, and pay for your order all at The company uses “green screen” technology to make personalization possible, so please avoid wearing green for your pictures. 4-H club will meet in person ​Thursday, October 22, at 4:00 pm. ​We will meet at the pavilion behind the JROTC building. Please wear your masks. Should there be inclement weather, we will still meet via Zoom at 5:00 pm. Stay tuned for the Zoom information. We look forward to seeing our returning 4-H members and would love to have new members join as well.

Boys interested in trying out for the 2020 soccer season should join us every Monday and Wednesday from 4:15-5:30 beginning Monday, October 5, for conditioning.

Women's soccer tryouts are October 26-27, 4:00-5:30pm. Men's soccer tryouts are October 26-28, 6:00-7:30pm. See Coach Lane with questions regarding women's soccer. Contact Coach Crank with questions regarding men's soccer.

Seniors: All TRADITIONAL seniors will take yearbook senior portraits and meet with Stan Sanford from Graduate Sales through your English class October 27. Dress nice for your picture and then head to the back of the auditorium to get cap and gown ordering information. All VIRTUAL seniors will take portraits and meet with Graduate Sales October 30 from 10:00-12:00 in the auditorium. Email Mrs. Mills with questions.

Attention 10t​h​ grade students who would like to take the PSAT 10. The deadline for signing up is December 9, 2020. The cost is $17 and the test will be March 9, 2021. Important notice: If you signed up for the PSAT 9 last year your payment for the PSAT 10 will be adjusted. Most of you would owe $5.00. Please check with the bookkeeper to check the status of your account.

AP students, the deadline for ordering AP exams is Friday, OCTOBER 30. You must select yes on the Google form provided by your teacher to indicate you are taking that test. If you select no, a test will not be ordered for you. You can submit your payment of $95/test on Deadline for payment is November 12. Please see Mrs. Dye with any questions!

Juniors and Seniors: ​The ASVAB will be given on Thursday, November 5, in the auditorium & B103. It will begin at 8:30 and will take approximately 3 hours to complete. There is no fee to take this test. Results can help you evaluate aptitude, estimate performance in academics and on the ACT, and identify possible careers that you may not have considered. Sign up in the front office.

The Swamp-Side Scholars, CSHS's chapter of the National English Honor Society, invites you to apply for membership if you like to read, write, create stories, create poetry, discuss books, or share original work. If you are interested in assisting in the school writing center, planning activities to support literacy, or communicating with authors, consider joining this organization. If you are interested, and you are a sophomore, junior, or senior, email Ms. Reeser for information on how to apply. Deadline for applying is November 6.

Tenth graders: We are looking for outstanding leaders of the Sophomore Class. The 2021 Hugh O’Brian Leadership Award will be presented to select tenth grade students who have already shown strong leadership potential. Please sign the clipboard in the front office if you would like to be considered for this prestigious award! The deadline to sign up for HOBY is Friday, November 6th.​

Students in the 9​ , 10​ , and 11​ grades who are interested in a career in the health field may sign up for the AHEC of a Summer program focused on careers in medicine held for 15 days in June 2021. You may sign up in the front office if interested in applying or learning more about this hands-on opportunity. Deadline is March 5, 2021.
