The Captain Shreve Library sponsors the Rising Star Awards for readers who achieve challenging goals and pursue personal interests through reading. Are you interested in courses such as Welding, Digital Media, Auto Body, Fashion Design, First Responder, or Culinary Arts? The Career Center offers these classes and so much more. If you would like to attend the Career Center next year, stop by the front office and get an application. They must be returned to your counselor by May 17th!

High School Basketball Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. Players should wear shorts and basketball shoes to the tryout and should have a physical on file or one in hand the day of tryouts. This tryout will be for the JV and Varsity basketball teams and is strictly for athletes entering grades 10-12 during the 2019-2020 school year.  See Coach Bush for further information.

If you are interested in playing on the men's soccer team, there will be an informational meeting Tues. May 14, at 6:00 pm in the Shreve cafeteria for all boys wanting to play soccer for the 2019-2020 season. Summer training and activities for the new school year will be given at this time.  Hope to see you there!

Attention all ladies interested in trying out for Shreve Volleyball.  The first day of tryouts will be Monday, May 20, 3:00 - 6:00 pm.  All debts must be cleared before you can tryout.  See Coach Hunt for more information.

Attention off-campus PE students:  The 2019-2020 off-campus forms are available now. You may pick one up in the front office from Mrs. Carter if you wish to participate in off campus PE next year. You must have the packet filled out in entirety and return to your current counselor by the deadline. No exceptions to the deadline. (Read 5/10)

If you need a little help with your math class, the Math Club is here for you.  Come to room A112 on Tuesday mornings from 7:45-8:15. Bring your math work with you and get help from some of Captain Shreve's best math students.

Are you planning or already working on a research or writing assignment? Would you like a little extra time to work on it at school or have someone help you get over the rough spots? If so, we have a Writing Center Workshop after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-4:45 in room A214. We are there to answer questions and help you with problems. This applies to any research or writing assignment in any class. Contact Ms. Reeser with questions.
